Can Laser Lipo Reduce the Size of My Breasts?

Can Laser Lipo Reduce the Size of My Breasts?

Diet and exercise are great ways to stay in shape, keep your body healthy, and lose weight. However, when you’re trying to target a specific area on your body, the results you want aren’t as easy to come by. This is especially true if you’d like to reduce the size of your breasts, but laser lipo may be able to help.

At Lori Scott Family Care, our team helps you meet your weight loss goals through a number of different treatment avenues, including laser liposuction. Dr. Lori Scott has years of experience as an aesthetics specialist. She helps you get the body you want when dieting alone hasn’t helped.

How does laser lipo work?

If you’ve ever heard of traditional liposuction, you know that it removes fat from your body by vacuuming it out in a surgical procedure. While you may want to decrease the fat in your body, you likely don’t want to undergo extensive surgery to do so.

Luckily, technology has come a long way, and laser liposuction has emerged. Laser liposuction is a procedure that Dr. Scott is able to perform in the office — meaning no overnight hospital stay or large incisions.

You’re awake for the procedure, and Dr. Scott numbs the area she’s working with a local anesthetic agent. Once the area’s numb, she makes a tiny cut where she’s working, which lets the laser light penetrate your body. The laser then works to melt and liquify the fat in the area Dr. Scott is working on.

Once the fat is liquified, Dr. Scott is able to suck the fat out through a small tube that’s inserted into the incision. Once all the liquified fat is evacuated, Dr. Scott closes the tiny incision and covers it up. This entire process takes about an hour or so per area that’s treated.

Large breasts — how they affect your body

Laser lipo is used for a number of different areas on your body, including your breasts. When you have large breasts, it can make life pretty uncomfortable at times. Without the proper bra or support, large breasts can make activities like working out or standing up difficult.

Even with diet and exercise, fatty breast tissue can be hard to lose. This puts you at risk for a number of different problems, some of which include:

If your bras don’t fit correctly, you may also suffer from numbness in your breasts. This isn’t just uncomfortable, but also affects the nerves in your breasts, and occasionally your arms.

But how can you get smaller breasts without a breast reduction? Dr. Scott evaluates your breasts and body to determine if laser lipo could be an option to help you reduce the size of your breasts.

Can laser lipo help you reduce breast tissue?

Your breasts are largely made up of fatty tissue — making them the ideal area to get treated by laser lipo. Once you’re ready to move forward with the laser lipo route, Dr. Scott meets with you to discuss your goals and what problem areas you’re having.

Dr. Scott talks to you about the potential for laser lipo to help you reduce your breast size when other methods haven’t helped. Since laser lipo is used to liquefy and remove stubborn fat, your breasts are able to be reduced by this minimally invasive procedure.

It’s important that you discuss any concerns you have for the procedure. While laser lipo is very versatile, it’s not for everyone. It’s vital that you understand both its risks and limitations before deciding on undergoing the procedure.
